Peperomia Liadensis aka Velvet Tree is a new and very unique plant indeed. This plant is a very special, bushy Peperomia, it has a green to gray stem and green oval-shaped leaves. The leaves have many small hairs that feel like velvet. The combination of the stem and the velvety leaves makes this plant a velvet tree.
Peperomia are slow growing tropical plants with striking foliage that are easy to care.
The Peperomia family is a very large plant family of about 500 ornamental plants and is related to the pepper plant. Most Peperomia variatons originate from the Amazon region of South America, where they grow under warm and shady conditions. The Peperomia Velvetree is native to Bolivia and because of that it is sometimes called Peperomia liadensis Bolivia. Peperomias are easy to care for and suitable for most places in the living room.
