EXTERIOR PLANTING
CHRISTMAS TREES AND DISPLAYS
Plants do live longer when they are kept under the right circumstances.
It has been confirmed in many studies: people feel happier, healthier and more creative in a natural environment. There are several theories as to why this is, but the most widely used is that of our innate love of nature. Also called biophilia. The love for nature is in our genes. You can also get started on creating a greener environment by bringing plants into your home, creating a facade garden or providing your office with green walls or other innovative systems. So what's holding you back? Bring plants into your home, reconnect with nature and relax.
Beauty and comfort in the house is a different for everyone, yet without indoor plants it is difficult to imagine a truly cozy interior, and the majority agrees with this. It doesn’t matter what style the home is decorated in - retro, boho, modern, Victorian, even high-tech with its glass and polished surfaces, a living plant will fit perfectly.
The advantage of indoor plants is their versatility. They perfectly complement any interior, the only question is the size and type of plant (flowering, trailing, fruiting, bonsai or foliage). When choosing plants, consider their characteristics and care requirements, so determine in advance where the potted plants will stand. Follow the recommendations for individual plant care, and you will enjoy them for many years to come.
An ideal option for almost any tropical houseplant would be an east or southeast window. West, north and northwest will appeal to shade-loving plants, and south and southeast to flowers that prefer direct sunlight or bright indirect light. As for the placement of plants in the interior, a tall ficus, palm tree or Monstera perfectly fills the empty space - large planters can be positioned on the floor by the sofas and armchairs, or in the corner of the room. Small plants can be placed on a windowsill, a table or on shelves, trailing plants can grow in hanging bassets.
If there is a cat or dog or other animal at home that moves freely around the house, chose pet safe plants. This is especially important for cat owners, as it is the cats who do not mind chewing on yet another plant.
Thought even if you bought a pet-friendly plant, make sure that the animal does not bother it. It is well known that cats got a habit to drop plants from shelves and window sills.
